Campus Interfaith Organization Holds Easter Extravaganza

Cru, a new student organization on the Cartersville campus, co-sponsored a community Easter festival with the Bridge Church, a local United Methodist Church, on Saturday, March 30. The campus was dotted with more than 3,000 plastic eggs filled with candy, stickers and novelties. It was a great turnout for the organization's first event, hosting a minimum of 150 children ranging from toddlers to fifth-graders. Activities included sticker tattoos, sidewalk chalk, two inflatable bouncers, an egg race and an egg hunt. Because of its success, Cru student leaders are planning a similar event for next year.

GHC's Cru is part of a national, interdenominational organization by the same name that spreads the messages of Christianity.  Formerly known as the Campus Crusade for Christ, Cru is involved with students on more than 1,000 campuses worldwide.  In Cartersville, the group receives support from Atlanta-area vocational Cru staff, GHC advisors and leaders from local churches.

Cru meets every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Cartersville Student Center common area by the fireplace for Bible study and a time of fellowship with one another. All are welcome.
