Top Ten Things Every GHC Student Should Know:

  1. College Grades are for LIFE they never go away – make every grade count

  2. The majority of college work is out of the Classroom – every one hour of class should equal two hours of work outside of class

  3. To increase your success in college take Notes – write down almost everything the professor says in class and then compare with your classmates

  4. Your professors are here to help you be successful so ask questions and let them know when you are struggling

  5. Access to all of your student records may be found online through your Banner/Score Account

  6. Check your Banner/Score account for any holds or missing documentation that may prevent future registration or a delay in your financial aid processing

  7. Classes fill up quickly so register as early as possible

  8. Make sure your tuition and fees have been paid by the published Fee Payment deadline listed on your “Schedule Bill” or risk losing your classes

  9. In order to keep receiving Financial Aid (including loans), the Federal Government requires that you complete 67% of the classes you register for and that you maintain above a 2.0 GPA

  10. Free tutoring is available at every campus location
