About Us

SPAA Mission and Goals

The mission of the Office of Strategic Planning, Assessment and Accreditation is to provide services, guidance, and facilitation in support of the College’s mission and pursuit of continuous improvement through planning, assessment, and institutional research.

The Office of Strategic Planning, Assessment and Accreditation will:

  • Coordinate and provide support for the strategic planning process. 
  • Monitor the process of strategic planning and the implementation of planning goals.
  • Facilitate the integration of planning and institutional research in support of institutional decision-making and policy development.
  • Coordinate institutional effectiveness processes, including student learning outcomes assessment.
  • Oversee and direct assessment activities, including the student learning outcomes assessment process, and to facilitate the integration of assessment findings into planning and institutional effectiveness.
  • Provide information and direction for accreditation activities.
  • Collect, organize, and format institutional and demographic data to support informed decision making and to facilitate institutional growth and development.
  • Fulfill external institutional reporting requirements of state and federal agencies.
  • Maintain the highest professional standards of accuracy, objectivity, and timeliness.
