Georgia Highlands College's governance structure for Information Technology operates through the college Technology Committee. The membership of this group represents leadership of each segment of the college and will therein provide insight from those perspectives in lending assistance to technology planning and policies. The Technology Committee shall consist of the Vice Presidents, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Associate Director of Information Technology, two faculty members, and a student. Members of the Student Engagement Council will be called upon for considering student technology issues. The purpose of this committee is to study, construct, and recommend policies and procedures to the college administration. These recommendations are then forwarded to the cabinet for approval. This committee also assists the Chief Information Officer in special projects that require input from a larger representative body of the college. The specific guidelines follow in the Technology Committee's charge.
