Concert Reports & Concert Opportunities
Concert Reports are worth 75 points each. The report should consist of two to three pages: typed, double-spaced, and with font no bigger than 12. Please write the report as if it were a newspaper article explaining the whole of the concert and also focusing on certain compositions. The first half of your paper should be your impressions (views on the ensemble, the venue, and your overall experience). The second half of the report should focus on two compositions (if seeing an opera or musical then the music of two of the characters). In this section you will fully describe the music using the materials of music terms studied at the beginning of the semester and then compare and contrast these two compositions. You should NOT summarize the entire concert or plot of the opera/musical. Please turn in your programs with your reports (5 points for programs), and if attending a concert at KSU then please include the ticket as well.
If you want to attend a Classical concert that is not on this list, then you must email me with the website for approval. Please include a copy of the email where I approved the concert with your paper.
